Airtasker enables people to outsource tasks, find local services or complete flexible tasks to earn money – online or via mobile.
The Sydney-based company raised $33million AUD from new and existing investors in 2017, funding which will support its launch into the UK. Founded in 2012, Airtasker has grown to support more than 1.8 million community members across Australia.
Journey Further was selected after a competitive pitch, with the agency’s experience, entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to media transparency cited as reasons for the decision.
Journey Further will drive user acquisition through PPC, programmatic and paid social campaigns, introducing Airtasker to millions of Londoners. With open beta testing planned for Q1, the platform is due to launch fully in Q2.
Lucas London, UK General Manager at Airtasker, added: “Choosing the right agency to support our launch in the UK was crucial for us. In Journey Further we discovered a like-minded team of digital experts, dedicated to driving performance and growing our community into something amazing. We look forward to working in collaboration with the Journey Further team as we embark on this next stage in Airtasker’s mission of empowering people to realise the full value of their skills and help millions of people get more done.”
Robin Skidmore, CEO and co-founder at Journey Further, said: “It’s incredibly exciting to be launching a community which will change the way Londoners think and behave. Airtasker are extremely ambitious so culturally, this partnership is the perfect fit. We have the common experience of being fast-growing startups and share the core value of transparency, which I am confident will see the UK mirror Airtasker’s success in Australia.”
