Cheadle Company Set For 500% Growth After Securing Investment For Wearable Tech

""

Bluefingers is set to take the world of wearable technology by storm and to increase its turnover to £250k over the next year, with the help of the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub.

The Cheadle based company integrates personal listening and hands-free communications into everyday clothes and has just launched its first range of affordable products. The collection includes headwear (beanies, baseball caps & headbands) and hoodies with built in headphones that allow the user to listen to wireless music and take calls all via bluetooth.

The Bluefingers team has been working with the Business Growth Hub’s Growth Start and Access to Finance teams since early 2014, starting with a review of the company’s growth plans.  Since then Bluefingers has secured investment from a Business Angel that enabled them to complete production of a large quantity of the technology products that will soon be available to buy at http://www.bluefingers.co.uk

The Bluetooth Smart Beanie, Smart Headband, Smart Cap and Smart Hoodie offer a quality noise reduction covert microphone with Bluewave HD audio for personal communications on the go; calls and music are synced straight from the garment to the wearer’s devices without the hassle of plug-ins and wires. The technology is removable for garment washing and all garments have a 60 hours standby and six hours call and tunes life.

Bluefingers Director Richard Peter said: “Wearable technology is predicted to be the next big digital leap forward, with the potential to do everything from monitor your heart to charging your phone. We believe that this kind of revolutionary device should be affordable for everyone and have created a range of practical smart gear that puts music and more at everyone’s fingertips.
The Business Growth Hub has been, and continues to be, a fantastic source of support and contacts to help move our business forward and capitalise on the huge home and international market.”

Janine Smith of the Business Growth Hub said: “Just as mobile phones and tablets have replaced the PC, so wearable technology looks set to make smartphones redundant. Companies like Bluefingers are creating garments that really do make your life easier and we were thrilled to help them in their early stages of growth and to help them secure the investment they needed to get their innovative and stylish products to market.
Bluefingers has already secured a distributor for the range in the US and is continuing to work with the Business Growth Hub on plans to launch a premium range in 2015 and to expand across the US and into Europe.

The Business Growth Hub and its partners currently deliver products and services that include the Manufacturing Advisory Service, UKTI, Access to Finance, Digital Growth, Start Up Now, NW Business Angels, Textiles Growth Programme, ENWORKS and mentoring programmes plus a range of networking and specialist growth events.
